25-26 Weeks Pregnant – Symptoms, Body Changes, Bump Update – Pregnancy Diary
At 25-26 weeks pregnant, I was still feeling sick. Like I had a lingering cold, that I just couldn’t shake off.
I had my next checkup at 26 weeks pregnant. My doctor did not test for anything but prescribed me a round of antibiotics, thinking it could be a bacterial infection since it has been going on for a while.
Even though I’m not a fan of taking any medicine during pregnancy, even if it is safe, I had to give it a try.
Feeling sick all the time is incredibly draining, and even though my energy returned with increased iron levels, the overall feeling of a cold did not feel great.
Symptoms
Energy is back
At 25-26 weeks pregnant, I finally started feeling better after starting a stronger iron supplement at 24 weeks pregnant.
My energy came back, and I could finally enjoy the second trimester and the pregnancy in general.
Bad sciatica pain
The bad sciatica pain that started during weeks 23-24 of my pregnancy stayed. And it became worse.
No matter what types of stretches or yoga I tried, it didn’t go away.
This was the most uncomfortable side effect of pregnancy I had to deal with yet, and I was a little worried about dealing with it for 14 more weeks. I was thinking the more my belly grows and the heavier the baby gets – the more it must hurt.
Body Changes and Bump Update
The pregnancy belly keeps on growing!
During my first pregnancy, I saw a big growth spurt starting around 27/28 weeks of being pregnant.
This time, it started a few weeks earlier, which I guess is normal for a second pregnancy, since the belly has already been stretched once before.
And at 25-26 weeks pregnant, it was a really nice baby bump.
